Weekend Recap

So Friday night, Brad was pretty exhausted from work. He took Noah and I to get some dinner, then hit the bed early.
Saturday, we went over to help Ben's family move boxes, unpack, etc. Brad's parents were there to help, then his sister Kerri joined later with her kids, right as we were leaving. I'm impressed Brad and Ben were able to get so much done. Normally, they use any excuse when we're together to p-l-a-y! :)

Sure enough, they eventually found some time to relax and goof off, even their dad.

Their new house is beautiful. Noah's favorite part: the stairs.

After we left there, we went to my mom's for a cookout. Harrison and his girlfriend Ryhanne (pronounced "Ryan") were there, which was fun. The weather this weekend has been phenomenal. It's so breezy and cool. The high that day was like 85... such a relief from the 100 degree weather we've been having. So we decided to enjoy it while it lasts and eat on the deck. We got a quilt out for Noah, so he wouldn't have to  be confined to his chair the whole time. And he loooooves his Aunt Madison.

His PopPop also took him out to play with the dogs. He thinks Zeplin is hysterical. He just grins and grins anytime he comes around. He'd probably pay more attention to Precious (the lab), but she's Flash's twin, so she's not as new and exciting as Zep.

Dinner was awesome. We grilled out burgers and hot dog, and my mom made her brown sugar baked beans with bacon (y-u-m).
We watched Harrison's Army graduation DVD, which was great, because I had yet to see him graduate! We also raided his old closet for some of his baby toys. It's always so weird to have my baby playing with our baby toys. Unfortunately, we didn't quite make it through the whole thing. Noah was super sleepy and started to get fussy.

Yesterday, we decided to take advantage of this great weather (again), before it goes away for awhile. Brad and I stopped by the park to let Noah swing. He looooved it. He's been before, but this time was different for some reason. Because oh.my.goodness he was having a blast. I'm so glad we took him.

We also stopped by Panera over the weekend and ran into some of the Charlotte 49er's (go 49er's!) cross country team. Noah's such a ladies magnet. And yes, I'm aware I was dumb for standing next to these super-fit college girls and not doing the whole hold-your-arm-out-to-make-it-look-skinny thing. Oh well. Just pay attention to Noah and not me. Thanks. :)

Needless to say, Noah had a very busy weekend. We'll probably be using this week to take it easy and keep things low-key. Of course, who knows. Noah might think normal life is boring after all of this excitement he's had lately.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
