Getting Creative

When you become a new parent, we've discovered you do all kinds of interesting things to keep your baby happy. Suddenly, you're making noises you heard your parents making. You're singing, tickling, rocking, walking around... whatever works. Well, today, I was curious to see if the old 80's Sesame Street episodes were on YouTube (why wouldn't they be?). I happened to play one, and here's what happened. Oh, sorry for the bad lighting. Not sure what happened there. (??)

This went on for about half an hour. He was mesmerized, especially by Ernie's squeaky rubber ducky and grover's growly voice. He has good taste. They were my favorite characters as a kid.

The other night, I went to take a shower while Brad watched Noah for me. After I was done, I went looking for them and this is what I found:

I guess Noah had started getting upset, so after Brad changed his diaper, he started reading to him. They read Winnie the Pooh and then read The Lion King. As you can see, Noah was entertained.

As for grown-up news, Brad got word that in the first month in his new position, his group went from being #114 out of 180 stores to #5 in efficiency. I'm so proud of him!

Referring to the 80s as "old" caused a pain in my chest. Linking Sesame Street to the 80s caused an even stronger pain :-).

hahaha well, I was only 7 in 1989, so for me, the 80's includes Sesame Street, Mr Rogers, and all those other great shows. haha
