So we're baaaackk!!
The weather was perfect, not too hot, no storms... incredible! The resort was very private. Not many travelers right now, so we had lots of privacy. The last night, we had the whole darn pool to ourselves till it closed. We mostly hung out by the pool. There wasn't much of a beach, because of the hurricanes, I guess. The sand was really weird... much bigger and grainier than ours. It kinda weirded us out. Brad kept taking pictures, because he was so enamoured by it. haha We didn't do any massages, just because we couldn't justify spending $200 on a luxury massage right now. It was still nice to walk around and see everything. It was great just relaxing. Brad really needed it, especially since Christmas is about to hit at Target. We've decided we need to start doing little getaways like this (well, maybe not as extravagant), just for him to keep his sanity! :)
We walked around Cancun alot. Made lots of Mexican friends, which was fun. They're nicer than Americans. We suddenly realized why Mexicans expect Americans to learn Spanish when they come here. Everyone in Cancun was fluent in English, even the poorer ones. We asked a buddy of ours how he learned to speak to fluently, and he said American movies and music. Anyways, it's just a courtesy thing there. They're incredibly sweet... well, except for the guy that offered Brad weed. haha This is Patrick who we met at Margaritaville.
We mostly ate at the hotel. We spent way too much on bottled water, even though the hotel was a 5-Diamond Award winner and claimed to have purified water. We were too nervous to trust that. We got a little braver as the week went on, though, and tried their ice. We survived.
More stories later. More pictures on facebook. :)

The sand is limestone, so it's from completely different minerals. Cool to walk in (once you get used to it!), but not so hot for making castles :)
