It dawned on me that I haven't done just a post about Noah in awhile. So here are some really cute things he's been doing within the last couple of weeks:
* He tries to make the sound of a cow. Whenever I read "'Moo, Moo', says the cow", he moos too... except his moo sounds more like "Uuuuummmm..." It's the cutest darn thing ever. I hope he doesn't figure it out anytime soon.
* He's definitely got the finger food thing down now. In fact, that's really all he wants to eat now. He also prefers it if we're eating the same thing he is. He'll lean over and look at our plates, just to make sure we don't have something different. If we do, he points at it as if we're holding out on him.
* He loves Curious George. He'll go into our loft, point at the TV, and then keep making little grunty noises until we turn Curious George on. Needless to say, we've been DVRing daily. Once it's on, he'll proceed to sit with his little feet and hands folded and watch. At least for about 5 or 10 minutes. After that, he'll start getting bored and looking at his books.
* He loves for us to read to him. But it has to be certain books and at the right time. If he doesn't want to read "Goodnight Moon" right now, then he'll grab it and toss it to the side. We'll eventually get to it, but he wants to go in a certain order I guess.
* He's a social little guy. He still has the stranger-danger awareness, but he loves to meet new people if we're with him. He'll grin at the ladies and wave at everyone else. He loves the attention. It actually makes me a little sad when he starts waving at people, and they don't respond. He'll just keep waving until his hand gets a little floppy, then he looks at me like, "Mommy, why don't they want to talk to me?" I could understand if he was all loud and obnoxious, and maybe covered in sticky peanut butter, but he's not. So how these people are even able to totally ignore him is weird to me.
* He likes to bounce. Like Tigger. He sits almost Indian-style, gets a big goofy grin, and starts bouncing on his tush. His favorite is when he gets to bounce on our bed.
* We've trained our son like a little puppy. If I say, "Bouncy, bouncy!", he bounces like crazy. If we say, "Round and Round!", he starts spinning around. He cracks us up.
* He fusses at the dogs. If they start barking at neighbors, he'll start yelling, "Bah!! Bah!!" at the door. Not sure what "bah, bah" means, but he means business.
* It has become physically impossible for me to keep the house free of clutter. If I'm putting away laundry in our room, he opens a drawer and completely empties it. T-shirts everywhere. However, he still loves the vacuum cleaner and wants me to use it constantly. He kicks and giggles and thinks it's just the coolest thing ever.
* He likes to shake his head back and forth. Brad started calling him a piggy last night, then made up a song that simply goes, "Piggy wiggy, piggy wiggy... squeak squeak..." or something like that, and they dance to it. Brad dances, and Noah wiggles and shakes his head really fast. It's hysterical.
I could go on and on, but I have a Project Runway episode recorded, and Noah is napping. So I'm going to take advantage of it. :)
