the weekend

Brad's brother, Ben, came to stay with us again last week. He and his family are getting ready to move here, and they still needed a place to actually move to. So we all went driving around, looking at homes, and I think he found a good one. I hope so. The neighborhood seems really nice and the house has a goooorgeous back yard. Which is great, since they have 3 kids.
For Ben, this is just moving back. However, for his wife (who is a LOT like me, in the fact that we haven't moved much) this is a big change. They're moving from Utah, where her family is nearby; they're used to the culture (and no trees... still can't get over that! lol), the people, and the area. They'll be moving clear across the country, which would be beyond scary for me. So yall keep them in your prayers. Pray that it'll be an easy move, and for safe travel. Thanks! :)

Ok, so yeah...
When we weren't looking at houses or driving around, we mostly hung out with Brad's family. We all got together on Saturday night to watch the Panthers game. One of Noah's birthday presents was a jersey. And it's a onesie! hehe. So we were all matchy-matchy and wore our gear to watch the game in. The sad part is that Noah is the only current one. I have bad luck with jerseys. As soon as I give one to Brad for Christmas, the player I picked tends to switch teams or retire. Then Brad bought me a Brad Hoover jersey a couple of seasons ago, but he's not playing now either. So yeah. It's a little embarrassing, but oh well. It made for a cute picture.

Brad was being totally annoying that night about taking the picture. I happened to answer my phone, and it was my mom. He just couldn't wait to take the picture and was trying to pose while I was on the phone. And aren't we lucky, Ben was in charge of taking pictures. He got this classic shot...

"Brad, why are you being dumb?"

"Oh, Ben's taking our picture..."

"Quick, everyone act happy!"

Ok, kidding. We really did have a good time. Our nephew Kalyb loves Ben (Brad too, but Ben is cool since he's moving back), so he slept on our couch a couple of nights. The boys taught him how to play Blackjack and then proceeded to slaughter him at the game.

And that's about it for our weekend. Hope everyone else had a good one! :)

ps. Thanks, Ben, for leaving a picture of (what I'm assuming is) Summer Sanders' rear end on our desktop. Classy.

I love the look on your face! It's classic "I'm so annoyed with my husband"...

You are so pretty! I love the matching jerseys. ;-)

Did you find me a house too? hee

Hailey - those photos are still with the old camera! I'm too afraid to use the new one. :-) Aren't I a dork?

BTW - thanks for your comment about Henry. Your brother is OK now right? lol...I think lots of boys struggle more than girls do with school, etc. My brother did too! He is the same way. He's a genius about mechanical things but never was bookish or great at school.
