It's very rare that you find a perfect house guest. And even rarer for that guest to be a guy. No offense, dudes, but yall can be stinky and gross a lot of the time. Typically, when guys go on vacation, it's normal for them to relax a little. "Let themselves go" so to speak. Go a little while without doing laundry, leave a couple dishes out, etc... heck, I know I'm guilty.
But Chase?
Chase's momma oughta be one proud lady.
While he was here, he voluntarily:
- made his bed everyday
- tidied up the house
- did the dishes
- got Noah out of the car every.single.time without me asking
- played with Noah
- folded his clothes and put them away
- offered to help me when I was cooking/cleaning
His momma raised him right.
He also helped Brad put together a trampoline before he left. Brad's brother and his family asked us to store it for them for awhile and told us to go ahead and use it. So we finally got around to putting it together, and Noah LOVES IT.
He also loved helping the big boys put it together. He's such a good helper.
(did this picture get "a look" or what?? lol)

Chase actually came down not just to hang out with us, but also to see another friend of theirs that's in town. Matt and his wife Kim came to visit. It was Kim's birthday last week, so we all went out for dinner. Since we didn't have a sitter, Noah came along. And let me just say, that boy is an angel.
Seriously, we were there for 2 hours before he got restless. He sat and "chatted" with everyone, ate a PB&J and chips, and watched an episode of George on Brad's phone. He was all smiles and loveliness. I would like to bottle him up and keep him like this forever, please.
We also took Noah to Birkdale for a picnic and to play in the fountain. Every weekend night in the summer, they have a free concert. It's a great way to get out for free.
I love to just stand back and watch him when we let him loose at the fountain. It's enclosed, so all the kids are caged in... which means he gets to run free. He cracks me up. He starts out running around the posts, completely away from the water.
Then he runs around the edges of the fountain.
And then? He gets soaked.
He also tends to attract the ladies. He walks up to random women sitting on the benches, leans up against them, pats their knees, chats... it's hilarious. And the ladies love it. He's an obvious favorite. Because as I stand completely on the sidelines, I watch every person in that area (gotta be on the lookout for creepsters. I think it's an innate mom thing), and 9 times outa 10? The women are watching my boy run around with all the big kids and are smiling away. Several figure out that I'm his mom and ask about his age, tell me how cute he is, he's all boy, etc etc. Makes this momma's heart smile.
Happy Wednesday!!

Looks like you guys are having a fun summer! I'm glad the trampoline is getting some use. :)
I love his Christmas shirt! Christmas in July! YES! The next time I go up to see Janette, I am so taking Cameryn to Birkdale to play in the fountains! I think she and Noah would get along well.
Sounds like you have a little charmer on your hands!
It is such a blessing when your kid behaves well at a restaurant! M was like that when she was little. We had a few restaurants we went to regularly and the owners were happy to see us coming because they knew M wasn't going to scream or throw food on the floor :-).
