I've been feeling a little bit less inspired lately, at least when it comes to writing. I'm definitely not the only one either, as my bud Katie touched on yesterday.
Anyway, here we go.
I'm weird because...
- I like playing with Legos. Always have. I was so meant to be a boy mom. However, stepping on them is not my favorite.
- I like my banana sandwiches with mayo instead of peanut butter. I know, it sounds disgusting, but it's good! No really, it is!
- I love to grocery shop. I think it's because I don't get to do much of any other kind of shopping right now. It lets me get that retail therapy out of my system while not blowing our budget.
- I can't listen to the same artist, one song after another (such as on a CD).
- I can't do my own hair to save my life. It's either down, half-up, or in a pony.
- When I watch Emily on The Bachelorette, I kind of feel like I'm watching myself on there. It's very weird. Not that I think I look anything like her (I wish!), but our personalities are very similar. I just have a tad more sarcasm in me.

I'm a bad friend because...
- I have hermit-like tendencies and don't call/text as often as I should.
- Sometimes my communication skills suck and words don't come out quite right.
- I forget to ask follow-up questions about the last issue/problem/etc they had next time I see them.
- I don't compliment enough.
- If I've been hurt or am angry, I most likely won't say anything.
I'm a good friend because...
- I'm incredibly loyal. Seriously, it's really hard to get rid of me. ;)
(Of course, it hurts me deeply when others aren't the same way. It's a blessing and curse, I think.)
- I love showing up and getting excited about their life events without the slightest bit of envy. I truly love to celebrate others' happiness.
- I will drop everything ASAP if I'm needed.
- My love language is gift-giving. I love finding a perfect gift and giving it "just because".
- I'm a good listener.
- I remember almost every detail about their lives that they've shared with me.
I'm sad because...
- I wish our family had a normal routine.
- Noah hardly ever says "Momma".
- I feel one of my best friends ignores/replaced me.
- A couple of friends' dad passed away, and although I wasn't super close to them, they're still like family. My heart just hurts for his boys.
- I want to be back to my skinny self again, and no matter how little I eat, how healthy I eat, how much I work out, blahblahblah, the scale is just moving waaayyy tooooo slloooowwww. Stupid post-pregnancy/almost-30 metabolism.
I'm happy because...
- I absolutely adore my husband.
- Noah loves his new/old swingset.
- My kid is the cutest, happiest little thing ever.
- Noah gave a random neighbor "high-five" the other day. He also started saying "bye-bye" again, and I got him to sign "Daddy" (after months of not doing it) the other day.
- I have a weekly evening to myself where I get in my pj's, watch The Bachelorette, and eat chocolate ice cream (don't judge me. it's that "1/2 the fat" kind so that makes it okay. I'm sure it has nothing to do with my extremely slow scale...).
- I have built-in free babysitters (aka. the grandparents).
- We finally got Noah's OT set up!
- Jesus loves me.
I'm excited for...
- The future. God's got some great things in store for us!
- Planning Noah's 3rd birthday (holy cow, already?!)
- An upcoming family reunion (Brad's side) that's been in the works for a year now.
- Father's Day!
