My Famous Mom

It never fails. My mom always ends up on tv or backstage with stars... I don't know how she does it. Well, yes I do. She's pretty, lots of fun, and can talk her way through the tightest of security.

Her list includes:
- Meeting ALL the old Charlotte Hornets players
- interpreting for Ronald Reagan
- hanging with Huey Lewis and the News
- producing and starring in her own ASL instructional videos
- singing & signing the National Anthem at basketball games
- interviewing with nationally syndicated radio host Jay Thomas
- interpreting on tv for several local talk shows
- filmed all over NC for educational videos for the deaf
- worked for lots gov't officials such as Pat McCrory and Sue Myrick
- having a (in)famous father who knew everyone in Charlotte (if cops pulled him over, they're response would be "oh you're Pickle Moore? Nevermind, sir.")
- becoming buds with the Lone Ranger

This last event has now caught the interest of several important people. As mentioned before, my mom has been on Jay Thomas' radio program. Apparently, Thomas is a big fan of the Lone Ranger and regularly goes on the Letterman Show to talk about it.

Here's a clip of him talking about it:

Ok, so it turns out that the car dealership was the same one that my granddaddy
"Pickle" Moore worked at. He was one of the big dogs there, and he's the guy that hired Jay Thomas and The Lone Ranger.

My mom's friend, Vicki, knew the story, so she got Jay Thomas' contact info and told my mom she needed to try and tell them about it. So she did.

She was featured on Thomas' show not long ago, and he said that next time he goes to see David Letterman, he would include her and her dad in the story. He asked her for pictures, and I just helped her email them.

They're filming on Monday and it should be airing next Wednesday night. So be on the lookout!!
